Dina Samson is the Co-Founder/Owner of Rossoblu, Superfine Playa, and Superfine Pizza in Los Angeles.

She has also co-founded the Independent Hospitality Coalition, Regarding Her Food, and FeedLoveLA, all organizations which focus on supporting and uplifting the Los Angeles restaurant community.

Before joining the restaurant industry, Dina developed her business acumen by spending years in the financial world, both as an investment banker in San Francisco and New York. She also served in Chief of Staff roles to several finance industry CEOs and celebrity entrepreneurs. She even had a stint as a video game producer at Brash Entertainment/Wall Street Games.

In addition to the many awards her restaurants have received, Dina has been recognized on The Observer Dining and Nightlife Power List for Social Impact. She also received the James Beard and Leadership and Resilience reward for her work as co-founder of Regarding Her Food.

Samson is both a James Beard Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (WEL) and C200 Champion WinLab fellow. She is also on various advisory boards such as LA Tourism Advisory Committee, Dine LA Advisory Committee, and James Beard WEL Committee.

Dina has also created the City Market South Business Alliance, a professional coalition focused on the collective advancement and well-being of this historical part of downtown Los Angeles.

She also miraculously finds time to raise her twins who love being in musicals and jamming in their own rock band, The Decibels.

Rossoblu tells the story of two places Chef Steve Samson considers home: Los Angeles and Bologna. This is an homage to Samson’s heritage, inspired by childhood memories. The menu features handmade pastas, market-fresh produce, and an extensive in-house butchery and salumi program. The wine list offers unique varietals with a focus on family-owned, grower wineries. Rossoblu is a true owner-operator restaurant with Steve’s wife Dina Samson helming marketing and finance, and long-time friend and partner, Hans Luttmann, leading operations and fostering a hospitality culture based on excellence and compassion.

Superfine Pizza uniquely combines the old world’s and new world’s finest pizza-making traditions. We’ve picked our favorite elements from each and bolstered them with the freshness of our local produce to create a blended trifecta of deliciousness. We think it’s much better than fine.

We strive to make delicious pizza: starting with raw material, fine-tuning the process, sweating the details, perfecting the craft. When it all comes together in a simple pie, we love how happy it makes us.

We have launched a new neighborhood California Osteria concept, Our first location is in Playa Vista, hence the name Superfine Playa.
